How long does it take to transfer a domain name?

I have requested to transfer a domain name from Name Cheap. It has been about 5 days now.
the status is still showing "pending: Transfer is pending at the registry" - Is there anything I need to do?Thank you

From what I see, your domain has been successfully transferred now, right?
To answer your question, it depends from the registrar. Some do it almost directly, and some (not very kind) wait 7-8 days. -
