The builder spat me out while making changes inside page builder and continues to spit me out to the dashboard whenever I try to go back in the page builder. I made a change to the website naming it from HOME to home, saving, and then setting that page as the homepage and that's when it spat me out to the dashboard. I REALLY NEED to have that page live as the homepage for today's presentation.

      Website: www.4EverGuard.com
      White label URL: https://www.leadgenweb.win

I've been changing to a maintenance page as the homepage and back to the real homepage for when we do presentations as we're still working on the copy to make it compliant and perhaps the constant changing created this error/bug in the builder. Could we have a dedicated option to make the website display an under construction and a maintenance page instead of creating a workaround?

        Hey Christopher,
Issue is you have removed/renamed your index.html!

        Solution:

        1. open Code Editor on your project
        2. right click on /preview/ in the left column
        3. click on restore, and restore the delete index.html

Once done, you will be able to open Pagebuilder again 🙂

@Joseph-Benguira, I was so hopeful receiving your message. I tried and tried restoring different versions but of the home page but none of my attempts were successful. I don't even see an index.html in the mix. I tried restoring those that I knew were the main pages I was switching between maintenance and official homepage.

Please help me out with this. The website is a crucial part of the business that is growing as we use it in our weekly meetings with prospects as part of our sells.

          What to do?

            Hi,

As stated Joseph, I restored your index.html in Advanced > preview folder.
You had a lot of modification so I couldn't find index.html, what I did was creating a new index.html, then right click on it and restore.

            Now your PageBuilder works

@Wassim, Thank you. I can now enter the page builder. I do not recall deleting the index page. I had to put a maintenance page up and I made that the homepage. At another day I switched it back to the original by selecting the option "set as homepage". At another day I reverted to the maintenance page with the same option and it went live. I took a moment to change the name of what used to be the home page from HOME to home and that is when the builder took me out when I tried to save the changes. There is no way of deleting the index page because once it is set as a homepage the option to delete or rename the index page is not available. So, what happened? I surely didn't delete the index page. Another reason for knowing that is that the maintenance page was always running as the main indexed page so how would it be possible? Something else I noticed is that there were 2 index pages in the created in the code editor (index and index-1) I never named any of the pages as "index".

Could we have a dedicated option to make the website display an under construction and a maintenance page instead of creating a page to set as home page?
